A true 90s kid I spent a lot of my younger days in front of a tv watching Rugrats, Guts and Legends of the Hidden Temple. So of course when I overheard my coworkers talking about an adult version of the show coming to Philly I got really excited. Considered to be a mixture between Jeopardy and Raiders of the Lost Ark Legends of the Hidden Temple was a perfect blend of brains and brawn.
The fact that it’s based on a magical Mayan temple probably piqued the interest of the Penn Museum because April 20 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., they’ll be hosting “Legends of the Hidden Temple: Penn Museum Edition.” Tickets are $20 but are Sold out according to the website.
Staff from the Penn Museum as well as featured guest staff from other local Philadelphia museums will guide guests competing in the memorable teams such as the Blue Barracudas, Green Monkeys and Red Jaguars; through physical and mental challenges, all focusing on history of course.
So if you’re free while celebrating the 4/20 holiday and you have a ticket explore your childhood fantasies and check out the Penn Museum.
Be sure to check out Hidden Temple’s TV Movie on Nickelodeon this November
